Concealed Carry LLC’s NRA Certified Pistol Instructor also conducts the New Jersey resident Carry Permit Safety course. This course DOES require a shooting certification.  After the classroom portion of the course, the instructor will take you to a firing range. The state of New Jersey requires that you show proper handling and discharging of a firearm with live ammunition and be able to qualify with an 80% score. You MUST shoot with your pistol that you OWN and are comfortable with. This is a PASS or FAIL qualification course. Concealed Carry LLC will issue you a “Certificate of Completion” upon you successfully completing the qualification portion of the course, showing that you handled and discharged a firearm in a safe manner. Concealed Carry LLC DOES NOT supply you with the New Jersey application packet.  After completing this course, you may apply for your carry permit online by uploading all the information provided to you the day of the class.

Class curriculum: 

• NJ CCARE Use of Force Interim Training for Private Citizen Concealed Carry (as furnished by the State of New Jersey)
• Safe handling of a firearm
• Gun safety rules
• Range safety rules
• Familiarity 
• Proper Storage of Firearms and Ammunition 
• Holstering (techniques of holstering and defensive shooting)
• Use of Force (summary of state codes)
• Consequences (summary of state codes)
• Brief defensive tactics   

**STAY AWAKE**   If you fall asleep during class, you will be asked to leave.

Things you need to bring to class:

• Persons not prepaid MUST bring cash at the door $150 (as long as seating is available) (This is the tuition fee only) 
• Photo ID (drivers license, government issued photo ID)
• FID Card (address MUST match Photo ID)
• Handgun(s) you are going to qualify with (you only need to qualify with one handgun)
• Ownership papers for handgun(s) you are qualifying with
• Approved waist holster (MUST be able to safely draw from holster; and holster MUST be able to retain your firearm) (IWB or OWB holsters ONLY)
• Strong supportive belt (MUST have a belt for your holster)
• Extra magazines ( at least 2 are helpful) (magazine holders are not required but helpful)
• 100 rounds of factory ammunition
• Speed loaders for magazines and/or revolvers are not required but helpful
• Proper Eye and Ear protection are required
• Snacks and drinks (NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES)
• If the Instructors feel that ANYONE is under the influence of ANY kind (legal or not); the instructor reserves the right to ask that person to leave
• Bring a great attitude (leave your egos home)
• CAN NOT use a single action revolver for the purpose of qualifying

THINGS THAT CONCEALED CARRY LLC PROVIDES:

TUITION INCLUDES:

   ALL application are to be done online

• PASSPORT PHOTOS:  (I will use your Phone to take your Picture; and you must upload your photo at the time you apply online). 
• FBI Q Targets will be provided
• QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE: One Certificate of Completion for 1 handgun. (See below for additional handguns)
• Instructors Certificate
• CCARE Protocol Qualification form (S.P.182)
• Additional Handgun information form (S.P.182a)

NOTE: The laws are changing regarding the handguns owned to be carried. Check with you law enforcement agency for these new laws.

What will I need for submitting an initial concealed carry permit application?

• SBI Number
• Upload of recent photograph (on a light background including head and shoulders)
• One (1) training record completed within the past two (2) years, instructor name, and qualification date (S.P.182)
• Personal Information: including Social Security Number and Driver's License Number
• Background Information
• For Armored Car Applicants: Uploaded Employment Letter
• Contact Information for four (4) non-family related references
• Information on handguns to be carried
• $200 Application Fee

ALL participants MUST be 21 or over

PAY ATTENTION to ALL gun safety and range rules!!

ANYONE NOT FOLLOWING GUN AND RANGE SAFETY RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!!

THIS IS A PASS/FAIL QUALIFICATION 

If you just started shooting, please be familiar with your handgun and please practice. Don’t let this course be your first time shooting. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER'S COURSE.

You are being qualified on safe gun handling as well as accuracy. It is your responsibility to demonstrate safe gun handling and use at all times. SAFE DEMONSTRATION WILL START WITH THE PRESINTATION AND INPECTION OF YOUR FIREARM.

You will be shooting live fire at various yardage.

ALL shooting will follow the State of New Jerseys CCARE Protocol course
– 50 rounds per firearm
– FBI Q target
3 yards/10 rounds
5 yards/10 rounds
7 yards/10 rounds
10 yards/10 rounds

15 yards/10 rounds
For a total of 50 rounds. You must hit at least 40 rounds out of 50 (80%)

Upon command, drawing from the holster (not timed); shoot 5 rounds, holster firearm after making firearm safe by de-cocking and implementing the safety

Repeat as instructed by the instructor

All handguns must be transported according to federal and NJ state laws (non-residents also follow your state transportation laws)

All handguns will be inspected with the ownership papers. 

YOU CAN NOT BORROW OR RENT A HANDGUN FOR THIS COURSE. YOU MUST OWN YOUR FIREARM. 

ie: Husband and wife cannot use the same firearm

Check to see if you are required to get your fingerprints done before scheduling an appointment. You may not have to be fingerprinted if you are in the system. (if you have a SBI/FID card). They are now going off of your fingerprints from your SBI/FID card.
