Q: Do you give the New Jersey Carry Permit Safety Course?

A: Yes. Concealed Carry LLC is certified to give the New Jersey Carry Permit Safety Course. We will come to your location as long as you have a properly set up range to perform the qualification course required by the state of New Jersey. Please go to the SAFETY COURSES tab at the top of the page or you can contact us for all the details.

Q: What is the difference between the Utah and Florida Permits?

A: There are some differences between the two. Utah is a 5 yr. permit, where as Florida is a 7 yr. permit. There are some states that differ in reciprocity. You can look at the description provided within this website under "Permit Safety Courses" and determine which permit would fit your personal needs. If you have any questions you can contact us and we will be more then happy to answer your questions.

Q: Do you except walk-ins?

A: We would like for you to pre schedule your seat, this way we know just how many people are attending the class. However, if there are seats available at the time the class starts, we will allow walk-ins. Any walk-ins should call in advance to see if there are available seats. Walk-ins MUST pay cash at the door. If you have any questions you can contact us and we will be more then happy to answer your questions.

Q: Can I bring a friend that has not registered for the class?

A: Yes. We would recommend that you call us first to see if there is available seating before attending.  Anyone not pre-registered for the class will have to pay cash at the door. And MUST have their photo ID with them.

Q: Do I bring a gun?

A: Depends on which class you are taking. Utah does NOT require shooting. So, therefore we do NOT want you to bring a firearm to the Utah permit course. However, if you are taking the Florida permit course, Florida does require shooting. If you are taking the Florida permit course you can bring your own firearm to shoot at the range or you can use our firearm that we will provide. If you choose to bring your firearm, you MUST abide by all local, state, and federal transportation laws. NO firearms will be permitted in the class. All firearms MUST be kept in a locked case in your vehicle. Ammo MUST be separate from the firearm also in a locked case. Any questions, please call-in advance. 

If you are taking the NJ or the Maryland carry classes, you must bring you firearm that you own along with the ownership papers. (Please see New Jersey Carry Permit or Maryland Wear & Carry under "Safety Courses" tab at the top of the page)

Q: Can I carry in NJ once I get my Permit?

A: Not with the Utah, Florida, or Maryland permits. You MUST have the New Jersey carry permit.  There are 34 + states that has reciprocity with the Utah and Florida permits. NJ is NOT one of them. You will not be able to carry in NJ unless you possess the New Jersey carry permit.  There are states that have reciprocity with the Utah and Florida permits. It is up to the permit holder to know what states you can carry in and that states laws in which you are carrying in.

Q: Are there any other costs to get my permit?

A: Yes. There is an application fee for each permit payable to each state applied for. These fees are to be paid to the state of the issuing permit, Utah, Florida, New Jersey, and Maryland. These fees are NOT paid at class time. You must include these fees when YOU submit your application to Utah, Florida, New Jersey, or Maryland. Utah gives you one year from the date of completion of the class. Florida does not have an expiration date to apply for your permit. But for Florida, once you are fingerprinted by a law enforcement agency, you have six months from the date of the fingerprinting to apply for your permit. New Jersey and Maryland also have a 6 Month rule.

Q: What is included in my tuition?

A: Your tuition includes for Utah:

Non-Resident Application (to be completed at class and stamped and certified by the Utah licensed Instructor), FBI fingerprint card (fingerprinting MUST be done by a law enforcement agency), 2 passport photos, DVD of course material, self-addressed envelope. 4-5 Hr. classroom safety course.

Your tuition includes for Florida:

Non-Resident application (can be filled out at class time), FBI Fingerprint card (Fingerprinting MUST be done by a law enforcement agency), 2 passport photos, self-addressed envelope. Certificate of Completion (upon completion of the shooting range portion of the course and signed by a Certified NRA Instructor). Also, the use of our firearm, ammo, (if needed) and target. 4 Hr. classroom safety course and range time.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: UTAH: 

*Bring your drivers license or state ID

*You are welcome to bring snacks or something to eat and drink. The class is at least 4-5 Hrs. long and could run longer depending on class size and how many questions there are.

*If you need reading glasses, please don't forget them you may need them to fill out the application.

   Florida:

*Bring  your drivers license or state ID

*You are welcome to bring snacks or something to eat and drink. The class is at least 3.5 Hrs. long and could run longer depending on class size and how many questions there are.

*If you need reading glasses, please don't forget them you may need them to fill out the application.

*If you are going to bring your firearm, bring it in a locked case with your ammo in a separate locked case. If you are going to bring your firearm, leave it in your vehicle during class time. Please abide by ALL local, state, and federal transportation laws.

   New Jersey:

*Bring  your drivers license or state ID

*Bring your NJ FID card

*Bring your ownership papers for each firearm you bring and intend to qualify with (sales slip or purchase permit).

*You are welcome to bring snacks or something to eat and drink (NO alcoholic beverages). The class is at least 5 Hrs. long classroom time and could run longer depending on class size and how many questions there are. Range time depends on amount of shooters on the line at one time.

*You need to bring the firearm(s) you intend to qualify with, bring it in a locked case with your ammo in a separate locked case. Please follow all New Jersey transportation laws pertaining to gun transportation. If you are going to bring your firearm(s), leave it in your vehicle during class time. Please abide by ALL local, state, and federal transportation laws.

Q: Will you come to our location? 

A: Yes. If you would like to host a class and have a place to seat people, and have a group of 5 or more people (Florida, New Jersey, and Maryland will require a firing range to shoot) then I will come to your lactation.

Q: What states can I carry in with my permit?

Q: Can I pay any other way other than PayPal?

A: Yes, you can pay cash at the door or Venmo. This type of payment must be received at least seven days before the scheduled course date in order to have your seat reserved for you.  

Q: When I finish the course, is it guaranteed that I will get my permit?

A: No. There are NO guarantees that you will receive your permit. Once your application is in the processing dept. of the state, Utah, Florida, New Jersey, and Maryland it goes through an extensive background check. If they find anything in your background that may disqualify you, that is between you and the states of Utah, Florida, New Jersey, and or Maryland.

Q: I live in NJ, I need a Firearms Purchasers Identification Card in order to own a firearm. And I also need a pistol permit to own a pistol. Do I need to have these permits in order to take your Utah, Florida, or Maryland Concealed Carry Permit Safety Courses?

A: No, anyone 21 yrs and older can take these courses. But keep in mind, just because you took the course and obtained a concealed carry permit, you still have to obtain ALL the proper permits that requires you to legally own a firearm in the state of NJ. A concealed carry permit is NOT a permit to legally own a firearm. It is your responsibility to know the laws in your state.

Q: If I wanted to take both the Utah and the Florida permit safety courses is there a discount?

A: Yes, the discounted price to take both safety courses is $125. But if you want to take both safety courses you MUST contact me before paying.

Q: If I wanted both the Utah and Florida Permits do I have to take two separate courses?

A: No, If you wanted to be certified for both the Utah and Florida Concealed Carry Permit Safety Courses you MUST sit for the Utah Safety Course only. Then you MUST go to the range and shoot in order to be qualified to receive your "Certificate of Completion" for the Florida Concealed Carry Permit.

Q: I want to take the Florida Concealed  Carry Safety Course. I have a NJ hunting license, do I still have to take the Safety Course for Florida?

A: No, If you have a NJ or any other firearms hunting license that requires you the shoot live ammo and is a certified safety course given by a certified instructor; you may be already qualified for the Florida Concealed Carry Permit. Please read the section, "CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS". You can find this section by clicking on "SAFETY COURSES", then click, "Florida Concealed Permit"

Q: If I take the New Jersey Carry Permit Safety Course, do I qualify for the Utah or Florida permits? Or do I still have to take the Utah or the Florida courses?

A: If you take and qualify for the New Jersey carry permit you will still have to sit for the Utah carry permit course. But with the New Jersey certificate, once you qualify, you will be qualified to apply for the Florida Carry Permit and you will not have to sit for that class.

Q: Is the New Jersey Carry Permit course done in one day?

A: Yes, but it does depend on the location the course is being held. In most cases the classroom and range will be completed in one day.

Q: Will you help us fill out the applications?

A: I will help you fill out the Utah and the Florida applications. However, the New Jersey application is to be done online . You will need to do that on your own. You will need to upload documents in order to fill out the application. 

Q: How long is the Maryland Wear & Carry course?

A: The Maryland Wear & Carry Safety Course is mandatory 16 hours. This course will be broken up into a 2 day course.

Q: Do you fingerprint us for the Maryland Wear & Carry Permit?

A: No, at this time I am unable to do fingerprinting for the Maryland Wear & Carry Permits. You Must travel to Maryland and get your fingerprints done at either a county Sheriff or a LiveScan agent.
