Florida Concealed Carry Permit Safty Course

Concealed Carry LLC’s NRA Certified Pistol Instructor also conducts the Florida Non-resident Concealed Carry Permit Safety course. This course does require a shooting certification.  After the classroom portion of the course, the instructor will take you to a firing range. The state of Florida requires that you show proper handling and discharging of a firearm with live ammo. You can shoot with your pistol that you are comfortable with or you can shoot with ours. Concealed Carry LLC issues you a “Certificate of Completion”, showing that you handled and discharged a firearm in a safe manner. Concealed Carry LLC supplies you with the Florida packet which will include (1) Florida application, (1) fingerprint card, (1) self-addressed envelope, also, we will supply you with a 2"x2" passport photo.

CERTIFCATION REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for a concealed weapon license, Florida law requires you to submit proof of competency with a firearm.  A copy of a "Certificate of Completion" or similar document from any of the following courses or classes is acceptable

• Any hunter education or hunter safety course approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or a similar agency in another state;
• Any National Rifle Association firearms safety or training course
•  Any firearms safety or training course or class available to the general public offered by a law enforcement agency, junior college, college, or private or public institution or organization or firearms training school, using instructors certified by the National Rifle Association, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, or the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
•  Any law enforcement firearms safety or training course or class offered for security guards, investigators, special deputies, or any division or subdivision of law enforcement or security enforcement;
• Any firearms training or safety course or class conducted by a state-certified instructor or by an instructor certified by the National Rifle Association

  • Active-duty military personnel may submit copies of any of the following documents         that confirm experience with a firearm gained during service:  

          1. Military orders including call to active-duty letter;

          2. A statement of military service that identifies you and provides your date of entry                                  on your current active-duty period (it must be signed by, or at the direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer or commander of your unit or higher headquarters);

• Former military personnel can submit a DD214 Form reflecting honorable discharge from military service.   

•Documentary evidence of experience with a firearm obtained through participation in an organized shooting competition is also acceptable.

The requirements for Florida are different from the Utah process. Florida requires that a law enforcement officer administers the fingerprinting. Florida also requires that you safely handle and discharge a firearm in the presence of the licensed instructor. You can Carry legally in 34 or so states with the Florida Permit (depending on your residency) (states vary from resident and non-resident permits).

States that honor non-resident Florida permits: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Laws change all the time. It is the responsibility of the licensee to know what states honor their permits.  (Reciprocity and Recognition change all the time)

Florida concealed carry permit is a 7-year permit with a simple renewal process.

Your payment includes passport photo, application, fingerprint card,

Certificate of Completion and shooting at our range. You don't need to bring anything but a photo ID. And if you have a friend, bring them.
